Completed on March 9 and March 10th just outside of Las Vegas in Littlefield, Nevada, the 2019 Las Vegas Spartan Sprint and Super Obstacle Race is really two competitions in one. In addition to the Super, which takes more than an hour to finish, the event also sponsors the much shorter Sprint, which attracts seasoned Spartan athletes and newcomers alike. Both events involve running through a decidedly dusty and dirty course while navigating a range of challenging obstacles.
Saturday’s Sprint and Sunday’s Super had the same male and female winners. Veejay Jones finished the Super in 1:05:23 and the Sprint in 28:10, while Nicole Mericle finished the Super in 1:11:41 and the Sprint in 34:08.
