FMA International to Hold 2016 Annual Meeting in Las Vegas

A professor of finance with more than two decades of experience, Dr. John R. Nofsinger holds the William H. Seward Endowed Chair in International Finance at the University of Alaska Anchorage. In addition to his activities at the university, John R. Nofsinger, PhD maintains memberships in professional organizations such as the Financial Management Association International (FMA).

In its efforts to enhance the knowledge and skills of finance practitioners, academics, and students, FMA International holds a number of educational events throughout the year. The organization is currently preparing to host its 2016 Annual Meeting, which will be held October 19-22 at the Rio Suites Hotel in Las Vegas.

The four-day event will explore the latest research and issues in financial management through an education program comprising presentations, panel discussions, and tutorials on topics such as finance and innovation, high-frequency trading, and corporate investment policy. Additionally, the meeting will feature a keynote address from Harvard Business School Professor David S. Scharfstein and several networking events, including a financial planning and analysis roundtable and an assistant professors’ breakfast.
